(en) The thesis is divided in two different parts. The first one is concerned with the symbolic and non-symbolic representations of numbers. The second one is concerned with the realtionships between number processing and visuo-motor functions. Regarding the first question, we examined whether the numerosity estimation performance could reflect the qualitative features (i.e., place-coding vs. summation-coding; linear vs. logarithmic scaling) of symbolic and non-symbolic representations of numbers. Regarding the second question, we examined whether vision could influence the interactions between numbers and space and between numbers and fingers.
