- Abstract
- In a context of great uncertainty marked by attacks, acts of violence and the destruction of cultural heritage, this thesis analyzes the involvement and mobilization of various tourism and heritage stakeholders in Mali. Using an empirical and communicational approach, this study explores the touristic, cultural and heritage potential of the Republic of Mali, which has been plunged into a security crisis for more than a decade. Using field data and a documentary approach, this study explores three main axes by investigating the issues and challenges that constitute them: cultural heritage, tourism and heritage and cultural communication.
