Abstract
The talk discusses two key challenges in language education, namely inclusion and agency. The power of multilingualism for inclusion is first addressed. Then, the three main types of agency are presented (personal, by-proxy and collective). By proxy-agency is illustrated - and critically discussed - with the help of GenAI tools. The importance of aligning the three types of agency to the benefit of multilingualism is finally stressed.
