- (en) The ecclesiological and ecumenical itinerary of Y. Congar is exceptional. He is therefore indebted first to a favourable sphere in his early youth. He will be able afterwards to develop these seeds of a vocation and to give it a very personal form. This vocation attentive to its times will develop also trough a huge theological work, marked out namely by his great innovating studies on unity and catholicity, Church's reform, theology of the laity or the Tradition and the traditions.
