- Écrivains et Gestes d’images.Présentation des enjeux du groupe de recherche HANDLING This text presents the research topics of the HANDLING Group (ERC / UCLouvain, Belgium) dealing with the manipulation of concrete images by writers, from the end of the 19th century until today. What are the specificities of writers' gestures with images, such as collecting, cutting, pasting, hanging on the walls, and so on? Why and how do these gestures replicate and differ from other kinds of "image gestures". The article focuses on contemporary writers of the French speaking field who are familiar with visual culture.
