- Abstract
- The study is located in the third wave of the researches on the narrativity. The consideration of the context in the understanding and the interpretation of a socially anchored narrative text is observed by taking the links between the Congolese electoral narrative of 2006 (6384 published articles) and its reference context into account due to the relationship between the written press and the politics during this period (1990-2006). Actually, the object of our investigation is based on two very often divided up domains of research: a comprehensive sociology of the production conditions of media and an analysis of the media narrative that is a speech ensues from it. Such an integrative interdisciplinarity, thus focused on the pole of the configuration, is underlain here by a triangulatory approach, a key for reading multi-level quantitative and qualitative examining the editorial identity, the titled speeches, the remarkable narrative plans, the construction of characters and the frames of the relationship between press and politics. The aim of this study is to be finally a first step in the validation of the almost socio-narratology research program of the media practices which would question the narrative in its field of emergence, distribution and updating in a kind of reflexive buckle. Applied to the Congolese printed media, this « narratologie contextualisante » built on a double interrogation: what are the determiners of the context of production which influence the media contents? And how the latter, worth knowing the electoral narrative reconstruct it and or by proposing the variations that is affected, modeled or perpetuated the social dynamics?
