Abstract
In the first part of the contribution, Joshua’s place as last book of the Hexateuch will be discussed, in particular paying attention to the link between the Pentateuch and the book of Joshua. The second part deals with Joshua’s influence on the characterisation of Pentateuchal texts as deuteronomistic on the basis of an comparative analysis between Exodus 23,20-33 and the book of Joshua.
