Abstract
This EDMO BELUX Lunch Lecture, scheduled for 18 March 2024 from 13:00 to 14:00 CET, focuses on how individuals make sense of the nexus between disinformation and democracy, i.e., “info-democratic disorders”. Geoffroy Patriarche and Victor Wiard build upon the concept of “folk theory” and – responding to the call for more research on the reception of disinformation – present the final results of the EDMO BELUX qualitative audience study in Belgium and Luxembourg, which was carried out in collaboration with Thomas Jacobs and Daphné Chapellier. The recording of the Lunch Lecture is avaiable on the EDMO BELUX YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNOR7JJbnH8
