Abstract
This presentation entails a comparative description of two quantitative mainstreaming instruments in Belgium: the law on electoral priority quantification and budgetary information law. It then offers a critical look at them, both from a pragmatic and theoretical point of view. Taken together, they tend to temper the expectations placed in (quantitative) mainstreaming instruments.
