Abstract
The aim of this lecture is to reflect on the contributions that new technologies have made to the enhancement and research of the architecture and décor of the ancient world. Computer graphics, 3D modelling, augmented reality and virtual reality now make it possible to tackle issues such as the digital restoration of paintings in situ, the study of paintings in context (with the relationship between the decorations and their space) and the promotion of research to the general public in completely new ways.
