This paper details the design, structural analysis, and construction of a stainless-steel, strut-on-cable (Class 1) tensegrity pavilion. The prototype, which comprises 99 elements, measures 7×7×4 m and has a bearing capacity of approximately 10 kN. Computational form-finding and prestress implementation via dynamic relaxation were executed using Muscle, a tensegrity-specific Grasshopper plug-in. Fabricated from tubes, swaged cables, and laser-cut plates, the structure features a custom modular joint consisting of removable endcaps to facilitate welding and ensure geometric accuracy. The pavilion's modular design facilitates its use as a versatile research platform, enabling the investigation of alternative cable configurations, robustness, and support conditions. Finally, following a structural analysis of the pavilion under operational loads and associated prestress scenarios, the paper details the planned sequential prestressing and deployment. This prototype demonstrates the physical feasibility of complex, highly loaded, large-scale tensegrity structures within the built environment.
