- Abstract
- Delivering a positive user experience (UX) is key for system adoption , as users may abandon systems that hinder task completion or create frustration. Despite recognition of UX benefits, integrating UX practices into development remains a challenge. UX capability and maturity models help identify areas for improvement, but few offer practical tools or are empirically validated. This paper presents an extension of a questionnaire to assess UX maturity, adding dimensions on execution of UX processes (analysis, specification, design, evaluation) and organisational capabilities (UX staff and integration of UX). Data was collected from 20 UX practitioners to examine how well the instrument captures maturity differences across organisational settings. Results suggest that both qualitative and quantitative responses reflect maturity-specific challenges.
