Abstract
This article explain why European defense can't be build within the European Union legal framework. In short, the problem is either that essential countries for European Defense are outside EU (United Kingdom, Norway), that too many countries are inside, each holding a veto power. This article explore the possibility of an alternative organisation dedicated to defense of Europe.
