- (en) School climate is the shared perception of various characteristics of the school. Teachers and students are the two main sources of information about school climate addressed in the literature. However, research rarely takes both teachers' and students’ points of view into consideration simultaneously. Yet, multi-informant studies have shown to bring valuable insight into the complexity that characterizes the school environment. This study focuses on a representative sample of 1445 teachers and 4083 students from the French-speaking part of Belgium. Using multilevel analysis, we examine the relationships between teachers' and students' perceptions of school climate and their self-reported well-being. This study allows us to identify convergences and discrepancies between the points of view of the two groups of informants and to determine which school-level perception is most strongly associated with each group’s measure of well-being.
