Collostructions, which are the product of collostructional analysis, show how certain words are associated with a given slot in a construction. This article explains the link between collostructions and collocations, describes the different types of collostructional analysis and how collostructions are retrieved from corpora. It also points to the existence of collostructions at different levels of analysis, in different languages, time periods, etc. and discusses their possible exploitation for pedagogical purposes.
