(en) This study focuses on the acoustic characteristics of identical repetitions across different speech genres in French. The LOCAS-F study corpus includes 42 speech samples representing 14 speech activities (or genres). These samples are characterised according to the degree of preparation, interactivity, etc. The number of times elements are repeated does not vary significantly according to the degree of preparation or interactivity of the speech. From the point of view of duration, the results show that the total duration of repetitions increases with the degree of preparation of the speech. This is also true for the duration of sequences of repetitions with insertions. In terms of fundamental frequency, the melodic gaps at the start of a repetition sequence are wider in spontaneous (unprepared) speech.
