Abstract
(en) Covid-19 has led to unprecedented social and health measures, including significant restrictions on funeral rituals. Digital technologies have therefore become a way of ritualizing death, despite these health measures. Based on a longitudinal study of French-speaking Canadians bereaved of a close relative during the pandemic, this article describes the forms of digital rituals performed, their appreciation, and their effects on the experience of mourning and the health of bereaved individuals.
