Abstract
This presentation analyses how the United Arab Emirates deploys a discourse of “moderate Islam” as a tool of foreign policy, international positioning, and reputation management. While rooted in domestic efforts to regulate religious authority and promote interfaith coexistence, this discourse extends beyond internal governance to function as a strategic form of religious soft power.
