- (en) In legal theory, it is generally assumed that truth in law is constructed without being arbitrary. However, there is no consensus regarding the value and specific status of this construction, which calls for thorough examination. In this paper, we present the main theoretical milestones of a collective and interdisciplinary research program aimed at examining legal veridiction in the reality of its uses, from a renewed pragmatic perspective inspired by Austin’s speech act theory.
