Abstract
Several computing platforms and software today enable the user to specify some adaptation decisions for the interaction techniques, styles, devices and presentation styles to accommodate the broadest possible range of users having varying behaviors, including users with special needs. However, these adaptation decisions are mostly achieved by hand on a trial and error basis. Moreover, these adaptation decisions are dynamically changing, depending on the type of user and other parameters. The goal of the ERGOLAB software described in this paper is to carry out ergonomic analyses for children suffering from cerebral palsy. These analyses are intended to provide results that would help to take these adaptation decisions in a more rigorous and systematic way. For this purpose, three interrelated aspects, namely perception, motor functions and intelligence, are involved to identify, to evaluate the factors that would enable a particular child to adapt to software. ERGOLAB consists of three stages divided into progressive levels where different exercises are proposed either in initiation mode or in test mode. Two experiments are described
