Ce que l’ordinaire fait aux concepts philosophiques
Boldrini, Miranda
(2023) A contrario — Vol. 35, n° 2, p. 45-66 (2023)
(en) This article examines the relationship between philosophical thought and the field of the ordinary, focusing on the use and on the analysis of concepts in philosophical ethics. First, through the analysis of three cases, it explores how the ordinary can lead to questioning certain philosophical concepts. Second, it asks what kind of philosophical conceptual thought can prove fruitful for the analysis of the ordinary. Drawing on the work of specialists of Wittgensteinian ethics (Diamond, Cavell), the author examines the contrast between two models of conceptual analysis and highlights their implications for philosophical ethics and their relationship to the field of the ordinary.
