(en) In this article, we will show how Sartre’s philosophy proposes a deconstruction of the causal link between the agent and their so-called wicked actions according to a demonstration that is articulated in three stages. First, we will question human freedom to understand how it can be used at evil ends. Then, through the concrete case of Jean Genet, we will understand the role of the other in the existence of the villain. Finally, we will highlight moral and political perspectives to argue that the liberation of the “wicked” constitutes a revolutionary ethics.
