Abstract
Trajectory Based Operations (TBO) is expected to be one of the major improvements of the future ATM system. TBO will provide flexibility to airspace users and increase predictability of the ATM network so that ANSPs can better manage their resources. In order to implement a TBO environment a number of problems need to be addressed, amongst which are the following : - Develop the potential benefits of TBO with a better knowledge of trajectory uncertainty. - Integration of trajectory uncertainty models in traffic prediction to improve the predictability needed by the ATM system to maximise its performances. - Assess the feasibility of integrating these models into existing DCB tools
