Abstract
In this paper, we plan to explore how Regt’s definition of scientific understanding (developed in the context of understanding phenomena or theories) could apply to more general theoretical framework. We will concentrate our analysis on the case of the Lagrangian formalism in the context of classical and quantum physics.
