This chapter seeks to revisit three main moments in which Marcuse engaged deeply with Immanuel Kant’s philosophie. (i) A first moment concerning the epistemological field, (ii) a second moment concerning the moral and practical field, and (iii) a third aesthetic moment. The aim is to unveil the importance that the reading of Kant had on Marcuse’s work, from his formation to his last contributions.
