Abstract
This article studies the devices grounded in the new regulation techniques that are aimed at linking the effectivity of a norm and the feeling of legitimacy and motivation it arouses for the actors" *ur hypothesis is that any political community develops narratives to 3ustify the legitimacy of its collective rules" #arrations are used to feed the actors’ motivation while showing them the image of their own participation" (t intends to achieve effective implementation of reforms, while ensuring the reflexive autonomy of the actors" /hese functions of narratives are analyzed and criticized through the case study of ISO26000, an international standard aimed at giving guidance to organi4ations regarding their social responsibility"
