Abstract
Cyber security is a rapidly evolving, highly complex, and strategically important area of computer science. Teaching cyber security poses many challenges compared with other topics, often requiring more complex tools and direct support and supervision during instruction. This was made significantly more complex with the advent of COVID-19 and having to rapidly shift to entirely virtual classroom environment. This paper overviews the key challenges and solutions practiced during an unexpected and rapid move to virtual teaching of cyber security.
