Abstract
We propose a new paradigm for distributed systems programming: Piecewise Relative Observational Purity (PROP). In this paper, we present the idea behind PROP using a schematic syntax we developed earlier. We also talk about real-world examples in which PROP programming of distributed systems is beneficial.
