(en) It is in 1950 that were published the first two studies of some importance of Yves Congar, o.p., about Luther ("Luther seen by the Catholics or the utility of doing the history of history" and above all the third part of "True and false reform in the Church", dedicated to the protestant Reformation). The contribution limits itself to some aspects of this third part of "True and false reform" in order to bring out some features of the congarian interpretation of the German Reformer and afterwards to compare this with the critical rereading which Congar will provide of this study about 33 years later ("Martin Luther, his faith, his reform. Studies of historical theology", Paris, Cerf, 1983).
