(2013) European law and cultural policies/ Droit européen et politiques culturelles — Location: Parlement européen, bâtiment Altiero Spinelli, salle 1G3 (15.November.2013)
The topic addressed during the Conference is ‘regulatory intensity in the field of cultural goods’. Eadaoin Ni Chaoimh hopes to clarify what Regulatory Intensity means while Marie-Sophie de Clippele will use this notion to assess one of the main pieces of EU legislation dealing with cultural goods. Together, they aim to provide a tool to assess the impact of complex legislation touching on cultural policy or at least the potential impact. For, as many can confirm, law on the books does not always match how law operates in practice.
