Abstract
(en) This research article deals with a part of the Belgian, French, British and German Secret Services that acted in the area of Eupen-Malmedy in the 1930's. The aim is to show how these different entities acted and in which manner civilians were involved. After an outline of the peculiar historical context and a presentation of the different Secret Services, we focus on the interesting case studies of Peter Schmitz and Heinrich Niederau, which provide information concerning the allied Bureau of Exchange (BOX).
