Former les futurs instituteurs primaires à utiliser les tablettes numériques dans leur classe : une spécialisation optionnelle en Haute Ecole pédagogique
The aim of this communication is to give account of a training module at the “Haute Ecole Pédagogique” (HEP) for students about to graduate as primary school teachers. For this module, we have chosen to turn to a “research-action”, on the understanding that, for the moment, neither the students, nor the master-assistants of our HEP, nor the associated masters of traineeships are truly trained to the use of tablets in classes. We thereby pursue two goals: (1) train the participating students to the use of tablets as regards to their usual practices, through the development of a teaching scenario centered on a knowledge, its implementation and its analysis; (2) evaluate the gains that are brought on by tablets as regards to their usual practices, and more specifically on the learning of French and mathematics for primary-school pupils. We have identified, at the conclusion of our analysis, on the one hand a professional development for all categories of actors involved in the research; and, on the other hand, three major benefits brought on by the tablets. Thus, emerge gains in the areas of pedagogical differentiation, creativity and building syntheses.
