- (en) This article aims to show that the concept of relation is intrinsically linked to the birth of Western law, particularly in Aristotle’s theory of justice.This relational conception has however been progressively challenged by the individual’s legal paradigm, which reached its peak in the 17th and 18th centuries. Yet, since then, this paradigm has revealed its flaws and has had to abandon its former unchallenged monopoly.
