Abstract
This IWA Happy Hour consists of a visit of the water infrastructure of LLN, encompassing pumping wells, a separate sewage network and an artificial lake. The latter storage lake was built in 1984 and was the first place in Belgium where separated sewerage systems were applied. Because of subsequent pollutions it became necessary, however, to completely empty and clean the lake. This operation took place in November 2009 and allowed for wildlife to return to the lake and its surroundings. During the Happy Hour we will be informed on the development of this undertaking.
