Abstract
The joint PhD day of the Thematic Graduate School ‘Environmental Sciences, Technologies and Management’ and ‘Thematic Graduate School ‘Génie des Procédés’ aims at bringing together PhD students from the Communauté française de Belgique and abroad, working in the broad area of environmental and earth sciences and environmental process engineering. The PhD student day is an excellent opportunity to present progress in the ongoing PhD project and to initiate discussion and collaboration with colleagues working in this area. During the Ph D student day, the following topical research domains are addressed: - Approaches: Environmental modelling, technology, management, mechanisms, processes, remediation, protection, decision support, - Subject: Water, soil, gas, biomass, waste, - Disciplines: Biology, chemistry, physics - Scale: Reactor, site, field, landscape unit, catchment, region The proceedings below, summarizes the programme and gives the abstracts that have been presented at the occasion of this scientific event. The PhD student day has been prepared by the scientific committees of ENVITAM and GEPROC, and has been financially supported by FNRS. Particular thanks goes to Prof. G. Colinet for organising the logistics of the event on the ULg-Agro-Bio-Tech campus at Gembloux.
