Abstract
Narrating a deceit, a trick, a lie, or a deception privileges certain narrative techniques, most notably a game on the levels of knowledge. The game takes place between the characters of the narrative, with the deceiver being frequently in a position superior that of the deceived, but not always. More important is the position assigned to the reader in front of this game.
