Abstract
The aim of this paper is to present a key of analysis and some results of our research on the tectonic behaviour (folding and shearing) and role of Waulsortian mudmounds in various sedimentary and tectonic settings of Western Europe, and particularly in Belgium, Brittany and Southern Ireland.
