- Abstract
- The exposé seeks to show the specificity of the aesthetic and political project inscribed in Herbert Marcuse’s work. To this aim, we propose an analysis of the concept of 'Sinnlichkeit' rehabilitated in his Aesthetic Dimension, thus showing its place within the author’s project of social critique exposed by Marcuse from the 1950s on. Likewise, we seek to draw attention to the fundamental role of such concept within the proposition of a qualitative transformation of technology.
