Abstract
This workshop will focus on the application of temporal networks in psychopathology research. It will briefly cover why and when they are useful (e.g., if researchers want to examine the interactions and predictions between many variables at once), with empirical examples. The majority of the workshop will focus on practical aspects of applying temporal network analyses in research: data collection (i.e., intensive longitudinal data), key preprocessing steps (e.g., checking assumptions and accounting for violations), and modeling (i.e., focused on the most common model, multilevel vector autoregressive models or mlVAR, but with mentions of other model types). Relevant R code will be shown with each step, and an example R code script will be shared with attendees. The workshop does not require statistical or R knowledge and will be given in English (but I can answer questions in both English and French).
