Abstract
Ovarian tissue cryopreservation is a method of fertility preservation implemented before gonadotoxic treatment. This article will focus on the specific technique of follicle isolation with the goal of creating an artificial ovary, the why and how of which will be discussed. The purpose of the artificial ovary is to avoid reintroduction of malignant cells. The first part of the article will review pathologies at risk, whereas the second part will elaborate on practical elements of the technique, with safe human follicle isolation crucial as a first step before embedding follicles inside a scaffold.
