- Abstract
- (en) This article presents and discusses the contributions of semiotic approaches to the analysis of the presence of the environment in communication, in order to show the contributions of semiotics to information and communication sciences. First, it will summarize some of the more theoretical contributions of authors who practice semiotics concerning the issues of the environment and the relationship between humans and "nature". Then, the article will present more empirical contributions, often more internal to information and communication sciences, which use semiotics as an analytical "toolbox" to analyze signifying objects and forms of communication concerning environmental issues. The text will close with a discussion of future perspectives, in terms of gaps and elements to be developed.
