Abstract
Presents a simple and efficient clustering procedure based on the partitioning of a histogram by means of the ISODATA method. The clustering procedure is developed in the context of the analysis of multispectral earth imagery by unsupervised and human assisted classification techniques. The ultimate gaol is the description of an image by a set of homogeneous regions and the production of thematic maps.
