- This paper is the English translation of the article: Renaud Pleitinx, ‘Badiou en Architecture’, in Journal of Badiou Studies, 5, 2017, pp. 103–112. It aims to show how the philosophical work of Alain Badiou can rightly interest architects and provide them with adequate categories to describe their practice. To this end, we will first discuss the legitimacy and appropriateness of applying [105] Alain Badiou’s philosophy to architecture. Second, we will show that it allows, through the category of generic procedure, to describe and attest a particular and exceptional practice, namely generic, of the architectural project.
