Study on Assessment Criteria for Media Literacy Levels : A comprehensive view of the concept of media literacy and an understanding of how media literacy level in Europe should be assessed
This study has been carried out for the Commission by a the EAVI Consortium ( including European Association for Viewers’ Interests (EAVI), CLEMI, Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona, Université Catholique de Louvain and the University of Tampere) in 2009. The objective of this study was to analyse criteria for the assessment of media literacy levels and provide the Commission with a set of such criteria. The "Université Catholique de Louvain" team from Communication School has contributed actively to the development of the matrix of criteria and to a first statement from national experts prior to this report.
