Abstract
Presents an analytical model for the three-phase half-wave or bridge rectifier connected to a voltage source with uncoupled internal impedance. This study is based upon a sliding contacts circuit model either of the synchronous generator with rectified output or of the three-phase transformer feeding a rectifier. Both approaches lead to the required dynamical equations by making suitable assumptions. Satisfactory results are obtained with this model for the bridge rectification; its capability is illustrated by means of a practical example.
