Abstract
In order to test the ability of the phase space model to represent the continuous part of various spectra, the model was fitted to spectra obtained for the reactions /sup 9/Be(p, alpha )/sup 6/Li at 30 MeV and /sup 9/Be(p, alpha )/sup 6/Li, /sup 9/Be(p,/sup 3 /He)/sup 7/Li and /sup 9/Be(p,t)/sup 7/Be at 75 MeV. It has proven possible to reproduce all spectra studied, in particular the results of the reaction /sup 9/Be(p, alpha )/sup 6/Li at 75 MeV has been fitted over an energy range corresponding to /sup 6/Li excitation energies from 10 to 45 MeV (experimental limit). The agreement between experiment and the theory are excellent at all angles. Parameters of known states are found to be in agreement with tabulated values.
