Abstract
Examination of the major diagnostic categories of adolescence (schizophrenia, borderline disorder, depression, hysteria) leads to the realization that they are but a stage in the development of 'normal' psychodynamics of adolescence. How then, does one distinguish between the pathological and the normal at this age, and is the concept of crisis at all useful?
