DEAR EDITORS, We previously reported on the biological variation of the thrombin generation assay (TGA) with and without thrombomodulin (TM) using a calibrated automated thrombogram (CAT) system.1 Recently, the ST Genesia (Diagnostica Stago, Asnières sur Seine, France), a fully automated thrombin generation system, was launched with the aim of standardizing TGA by reducing inter-experiment and inter-laboratory variation.
