Abstract
The paper discusses the classification problem using discriminant function solution that minimizes the probability of classification error. Learning algorithms using window function technique are presented. The algorithm convergence rates are computed and a particular strategy is proposed. Experimental results are performed and the efficiency of the proposed algorithms is proven. A comparison with the mean-square-error algorithm is also presented.
