A series of recent studies reveal a renewed interest in the explanation of international trade flows. Stern (1976), Steinherr and Runge (1977) and Wolter (1977) analyze West-Germany's foreign trade structure; Branson and Monoyios (1977) consider U.S. trade. These authors successfully test one form or another of the Heckscher-Ohlin hypothesis whilst incorporating aspects of the neo-technology approach.
